Leona Hamrick, DHSc, PA-C is a board-certified internal medicine physician associate (PA) that managed patients for 20 years before transitioning to medical affairs. She received her PA degree at Mountain State University in WV, her masters in PA studies from University of Nebraska Medical Center, and her Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Hamrick was awarded distinguished fellow status with the American Academy of PAs in 2010 and is a founding member and prior Director at Large for the Academy of Doctoral PAs. She served as a subject matter expert developing a standardized international Medical Science Liaison (MSL) board certification exam with the MSL Society. She is also a peer-reviewed published author and international speaker. She serves on the Medical Reserve Corp in Tampa Bay, FL as an emergency volunteer health care provider.
