Mark DeBlock, Vice President of Sales, is an accomplished and dynamic commercial leader who has been focused on the lung cancer space since 2008. With 20 years of experience in the medical industry, Mark has a passion for impacting patient care and outcomes, launching disruptive technologies, creating markets, and developing and scaling sales teams. Since October 2016, Mark has held various roles in Sales, Sales Training, and Commercial Development at Biodesix. While at Biodesix, he developed and implemented the sales training program, worked cross-functionally in product development and marketing, and helped set sales strategy for the launch of Nodify XL2 and Nodify CDT.
Prior to joining Biodesix, Mark was part of the launch team at Olympus for the Spiration Valve System, a first-to-market medical device used for prolonged air leaks and BLVR. He also helped launch the AERO and ALIMAXX-ES non-vascular stent while working for Merit Medical and has held various diagnostic and surgical sales positions for women's health companies, including CYTYC, Hologic, and Novo Nordisk.
Mark is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois (2004), where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He currently serves as a board member for the Respiratory Health Association in Chicago, Batavia Youth Baseball, and is a Moose International Legionnaire.
